The <a href=\"http:\/\/iotacontest.com\/contest\/iota\/2007\/finalScore.php?c1=id&amp;c2=m&amp;c3=m&amp;c4=2&amp;c5=l\" title=\"Low power expedition scores, 2007 IOTA results\">scores for low power expeditions<\/a> shows that N4A (N4YDU &amp; W4KAZ) placed 24th worldwide, 13th worldwide for mixed mode, and <em><strong>#1 in North America for low power expedition<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/n4a_1.jpg\" title=\"N4A Sunset Over the sound\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/n4a_1.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"N4A Sunset Over the sound\" \/><\/a>   <a href=\"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/n4a_2.jpg\" title=\"N4A - The Cabin\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/n4a_2.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"N4A - The Cabin\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The mast pictured in the photo on the right is 1.785 (45mm) military surplus mast obtained from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmastco.com\/\" title=\"Link to K4TMC's website.\">K4TMC, The Mast Company.<\/a>      The N4A website has <a href=\"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/n4a\/photos\" title=\"Link to the N4A website photos.\">more photos<\/a> of the gear used.         <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/iotacontest.com\/contest\/iota\/2007\/finalScore.php\" title=\"2007 IOTA results unfiltered\">IOTA results database<\/a> results also seem to show that N4A might also have the #2 low power score from North America, but that is not an award category for the IOTA contest. We were #105 worldwide, low power, and for NA we were beaten by #66 WP2I operating a fixed station in Puerto Rico.  We just barely edged out W4H.  Geography is an issue. Given the short propagation conditions, our east coast location was good, but not as good as some of the high power Canadian entries.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fun contest, and it gets less participation from the US than from EU.  For those looking for another summertime contest to go along with Field Day and IARU, this is a great one for hunting EU DX.
