{"id":2174,"date":"2012-05-03T12:26:02","date_gmt":"2012-05-03T16:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/?p=2174"},"modified":"2012-05-03T12:45:01","modified_gmt":"2012-05-03T16:45:01","slug":"rocky-rocks-softly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/?p=2174","title":{"rendered":"Rocky rocks softly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a lot of procrastination, the dormant Softrock v6.2 project became timely.\u00c2\u00a0 The job was to convert a Softrock v6.2 from its intended IF usage(IF 9.001?) to something a wee more interesting fer the KazShack main op, namely a 40m Softrock v6.2.\u00c2\u00a0 <a title=\"WB5RVZ SR lite v6.2 documentation.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wb5rvz.com\/sdr\/New_SR_Lite\/\">The WB5RVZ pages are the place to go for build information<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 A fabulous job of documentation on the many SR permutations.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out, the conversion was fairly simple.\u00c2\u00a0 As built, there were only 2 component changes, add the RX enable jumper, and add a wire for the second &#8220;ring&#8221; line output.\u00c2\u00a0 Oh&#8230;.also change the crystal.\u00c2\u00a0 A few resistance and then voltage checks.\u00c2\u00a0 Use the K2 as frequency meter to check the crystal oscillator frequency, and its F\/4 from the divider.
