{"id":2052,"date":"2012-01-29T15:50:21","date_gmt":"2012-01-29T19:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/?p=2052"},"modified":"2016-08-26T20:33:44","modified_gmt":"2016-08-27T00:33:44","slug":"2012-cq-160m-cw-sunday-coffee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w4kaz.com\/qth\/?p=2052","title":{"rendered":"2012 CQ 160m CW \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Sunday Coffee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Grinding out Saturday night with low rates&#8230;Yuck. \u00c2\u00a0 Worked more stations from the western US, but not a lot.\u00c2\u00a0 The path down into TX was much better Friday night, but\u00c2\u00a0 N\/S up and down the east coast was decent on Saturday.\u00c2\u00a0 New England(ME,VT,NH) probably was not as strong as Saturday, but most were workable.\u00c2\u00a0 Although I guess I didn&#8217;t hear the ones that were not. \ud83d\ude2e<\/p>\n<p>Can&#8217;t remember working so many NY stations.\u00c2\u00a0 Condx to NY\/PA were really good both nights, and lots of NY stations active.<\/p>\n<p>DX was mostly non-existent at the KazShack.\u00c2\u00a0 The stations that could be heard had large pile-ups &#8211; not really worth the effort.\u00c2\u00a0 With that as a baseline, I did get 11 DX mults.\u00c2\u00a0 A couple of DL&#8217;s could hear me, a loud EI with no pile-up, and a few from the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>At some point early on I had set 500 Q&#8217;s as a mental goal, despite being determined to not really set goals.\u00c2\u00a0 Half way there\u00c2\u00a0 600 seem like a loftier perch to shoot for.\u00c2\u00a0 So I was shooting for 500 by midnight.\u00c2\u00a0 The rate was steady, so it seemed possible.\u00c2\u00a0 Came up only 6 short, 593 logged by midnight.\u00c2\u00a0 So hitting 600 seemed possible too.<\/p>\n<h5>&#8220;Missed it by THAT much&#8221;<\/h5>\n<p>Well, did not get to 600 Q&#8217;s.\u00c2\u00a0 Took a 2 hour nap and got up for a bit of Butt-In-Chair pre-sunrise.\u00c2\u00a0 Picked up a few more, but just not enough.
